SARAH HILL
Sarah is another member of the society who seems to have been around for years! Her first role was in the pantomime "Cinderella" way back in 1993, where she played the Baroness. The bossy character followed her on as she then played Lady Rumpus in "Habeas Corpus". This has actually gone down as her favourite role - probably because she got to be bossy as she was assistant directing - but Sarah says it is because of the peach Crimpolene outfit she got to wear! So that must be true! Both of Sarah's sons, Jack and Rory, have joined her on stage, appearing in varopius pantomimes, although this could have been a conpsiracy to stop them heckling from the audience. Another of Sarah's bossy roles was that of Miss Granville, the 'fair bur firm form mistress', in "Daisy Pulls it Off" and apparantly this was her worst play. She didn't say what was wrong with it though. It might have something to do with Miss Gibson interrogating her for the morning's notices! Sarah has also won herself a CATS Oscarfor Best Cameo Role as a member of the chorus in "Dick Whittington" and she enhoyed being in the chorus so much, she did it again for "Dracula". Apparantly it was the singing and the big hair which attracted her and not Dracula! |
